In order to better coordinate the virtual worship services in three languages, the Mandarin worship will occur at 10:30am. English will still be at 9:30am, Cantonese at 11:30am.
We’ll see you at mcpc.ca/live on Sunday morning!
As the COVID-19 situation evolves and gatherings are still prohibited, MCPC will use livestreaming of all three services (English, Cantonese and Mandarin) on Sunday at their usual times. Please reload this page for the livestream link 15 minutes before your service.
For offering, we recommend to use Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR). It will allow for automatic electronic offering on the 20th of every month. MCPC has been utilizing this service by the United Church for several years. Please download, fill out and send this PAR Authorization Form along with a void cheque via email to email@example.com. You can print it out to scan or take a picture of the form and void cheque with your mobile phone.
Receipt for tax purposes will be issued at the end of the year.
If you have any questions regarding PAR, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and the Board of Managers will reply to you.
| Dear MCPC Family,|
COVID-19 is causing disruption to our daily life, as it has caused pain and suffering in China, Iran, Italy, and other parts of the world. As recommended by government health professionals, an effective way to prevent transmission is not gathering in large numbers and close proximity.
As MCPC is a family that includes seniors to young children, our church leaders believe it is prudent and responsible to suspend all worship services and ministry programs immediately until further notice. It is not a decision taken lightly but with faith, compassion and love. In the meantime, we are investigating alternative forms of worship through online technology.
While Sunday worship services are halted temporarily, our church doors will be open between 10:00-11:00 AM on Sunday for those who wish to seek comfort and quiet time with God in the sanctuary for prayers and reflection.
“casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
We invite you to join us to remember the gifts of Jesus at these special opportunities to worship and praise in December.
Our youth groups will take the lead for a Family-style Christmas Service at 10:30 am Sunday, December 22.
Our traditional Christmas Eve Choral Service featuring a music presentation in English by our Cantonese service choir, starts at 7:30 pm Tuesday, December 24.
This year we’re adding a new year-end prayer service at 10:30 am Sunday, December 29. This will be a time for the congregation to give thanks for the year past and pray for Christ’s blessing in the year to come.
We hope you can join us for these special events over the Christmas season.

The Board of Managers is asking for your help to make this site the best it can be. They’ve prepared a survey to find out what the people in our congregation would like to see here at mcpc.ca.
The survey will be available online through March at the links below. A few paper copies are also available in the lobby at the church. If that would be more convenient, please stop by and pick one up.
Whichever form you choose, please let us know what you think. Thank you for your help.
The severe weather last winter prompted the Session to consider what to do if it became necessary to cancel church programs because of severe weather warnings or other emergency situations. In such cases, the Session will make a decision about
“Jesus teaches marriage is between one man and one woman for life.” That’s a core value in the human sexuality policy the Session adopted at their meeting Wednesday, January 16. The policy builds on previous statements adopted as part of the ongoing Presbyterian Church in Canada conversation on sexuality.
That affirmation about marriage reflects the unchanging truth God made people in His own image: “male and female he created them,” as it says in Genesis. Affirming this unchanging truth will have implications for MCPC’s ministry in areas like marriage preparation and leadership selection.
The Session invites people to a conversation at
